As the first watchmaker appointed as Official Olympic Timekeeper, Omega has a strong history with the historic competition. Since the 1932 Los Angeles games, the Omega logo has been a prominent fixture of the Olympics, almost as famous as the five rings themselves. The Omega Olympic Timeless watches, released in 2004, featured four unique and novel special edition timepieces that each commemorated a different Olympic year. This Speedmaster Date from the collection pays homage to the Los Angeles games specifically, sporting the vintage Omega logo from 1932 and featuring the iconic rings themselves engraved on the caseback, protecting the mechanical calibre 1152 within.
