The no-date Submariner reference 5513 had a 27-year shelf-life that began in the early 1960s and ended in 1989 when it was finally discontinued—a record production-run for the Submariner collection that stands today. Still popular and widely available, not all examples are in as good condition as this one, with its attractive corn-grain glossy dial. The 5513 is rightly considered a vintage classic by Rolex collectors and the fact that it appeared in several James Bond films—before the character switched to Omega—has enhanced its appeal and collectability. It's ideal for those who prefer a leaner look than that offered by the bulkier contemporary models. This charismatic watch comes on its original Oyster bracelet.

Due to age, this Rolex may not fall within our typical expected tolerances for timekeeping, and is no longer suitable for use in wet environments or submersion in water. In the interests of preserving original features, utmost care has been taken to sympathetically restore this watch. It has also been referenced against technical documents and manufacturer records where available to ensure authenticity and a clean history. To maintain the manufacturer’s warranty on this watch, it has not been polished in our service centre.
